We previously handled mainly domestic plywood, but in response to the changing times, plywood and tropical timber imported from Malaysia and Indonesia are currently our main products.
Recently, in addition to plywood, we also import and distribute other synthetic building materials including Oriented Strand Board (OSB) from Canada; Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) from New Zealand, Malaysia, and Chile; Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) from China; and softwood lumber products from Canada.
A unique characteristic of Nissei Kyoeki is that we are able to utilize the accumulated experience and knowledge gained from having manufactured plywood for many years on our own. As a result, we have strengthened connections with and gained the trust of customers specializing in the plywood/building material industry.
With the demand for environmentally friendly products including legal and certified wood products on the rise, we propose and develop truly environmentally conscious products in a sustained way. By doing so, we are able to provide customers with services that are born from our consideration towards our share of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
We value the concept of "environmental friendliness."
Nissei Kyoeki only deals in plywood that is not obtained by illegal logging. These operations naturally lead to reductions in CO2 levels and contributions to zero-emission efforts. We will continue to expend maximal efforts to continue producing environmentally-conscious products into the future.
In addition to using timber plantations in order to produce our Eucalyptus plywood, poplar LVL, Monterey Pine MDF/laminated timber, and Spruce-Pine-Fir (SPF) products, we are also directing efforts towards implementing domestically-produced materials that contribute to CO2 fixation including recycled products such as particle board and domestic softwood plywood.
With regard to our efforts in the area of legal timber, we have already obtained certification from the Japan Lumber Importers' Association and the Japan Plywood Trade Association. As further efforts regarding certified timber materials, we have also obtained CoC certification from the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes), two of the world's largest timber certification institutions. In addition, we are also planning to make further proactive approaches towards certified timber materials in the future.
We are also committed to proactively developing new markets in Japan as well as overseas through intermediate trade.
